This policy explains what information SturdyRide (sturdyride.com) collects and how it is used. We try to collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Server logs: like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit. This is used for security and keeping the site running.
- Cookies: WordPress may set functional cookies (for example if you leave a comment). Our caching plugin may also be used to speed up the site. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page to name the service.
- Comments and contact: if you leave a comment or email us, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. Comments may be checked by automated spam detection.
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link and visit a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to track the referral. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Embedded content
Articles may include embedded content (for example videos). Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other site and may collect data about you.
How we use information
To run and secure the site, respond to messages, and moderate comments. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept according to our host’s retention settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us and we will respond.
